Hello all! I’ve replaced another entire app with webxdc and Delta Chat. [Word Challenge](https://support.delta.chat/t/word-challenge-game/5259) replaced Wordle, then [Plan](https://support.delta.chat/t/plan-the-event-planning-webxdc-app-that-youve-been-missing/5252) replaced Campfire.rsvp . This time Mood Board replaces Pinterest / [Are.na](https://www.are.na/). > **[GitHub - trosel/webxdc-moodboard](https://github.com/trosel/webxdc-moodboard)** > > Contribute to trosel/webxdc-moodboard development by creating an account on GitHub. Mood Board is extremely small because it doesn’t use a CRDT library. Less than 10KB! ## Features - Name the board - Add images, colors, or text to the board. That’s it! No reactions or comments (this isn’t a popularity contest, it’s about just crafting a vibe together). - Hover on Desktop or tap on iOS or Android to see - the drag and drop handle in the bottom right - the creator of an object in the bottom left - the delete button in the top right. - See who is in the app with you at the same time in the top right - Anyone can change the name of the board or re-arrange things. Open permissions like on are.na (it assumes high trust groups) Basic stuff! I have some friends that do mood boards once a month. Make a Mood Board for a season, a specific event, a project, a magazine, or even just a long running one for your crew. Updates for 0.3.0: - Animated GIFs and transparent PNGs now pass through unchanged (no more flattening to JPEG) - Text tiles vertically centered (meta is absolutely positioned, no more bottom-heavy look) - Medium text centered with text-wrap: balance to fix orphan-line empty space - Grid bottom padding for iPhone home-bar gesture zone (last tile no longer triggers app-switch) - Sans / Serif / Mono font picker for text blocks (cross-platform safe fonts only) - Settings gear in toolbar with board name and sharp/rounded tile corners (both synced) - Avatar name tooltips on hover (desktop) and tap (mobile) - Top header removed, everything in one toolbar row - New boards auto-prompt the creator to set a name - Long text support: textarea input, auto-grow, multi-line preserved, 500-char limit - Split document (board identity — the board’s name, pins the chat row to a stable title) from summary (live state “N items from Alice, Bob”), so the chat list now shows what the board is and what’s currently on it, updating as items are added or removed ---

Cool! Do the added images require image upload? I imagine it doesn’t fetch via an image url like are.na or pinterest do (impossible in webxdc) ---

I’ve been really tryna think about ways to fit some app ideas into webxdc but usually get stuck at the point where http connections are required. I vibecoded something similar to your moodboard this summer to replace my are.na subscription, you might find it useful @Low . I tried to make them exist together, so if someone wants to deploy the moodboard service themselves, the bot comes with it. Your style seems urbit-adjacent to me haha Jeez i need to explore Urbit…i remmeber learning about it like a decade ago and it seemed kinda silicon-valley-alt-right-bitcoin-bro to me at the time. I’ve been hearing about it again lately but still have no idea what urbit is!
