Setting the email subject for new contacts

Again, my reply does not seem to show up in this thread (also see My replies do not appear in threads). Here I repost it manually again:

@Raiden: Actually, my suggestion is not to allow setting the subject. My
suggestion would be to remove that ability again – or at least to make
it optional and less prominent. Regarding your suggestion for setting
the subject: I would argue that introducing special syntax rules to
messages would be a UI change. Even if it does not require any new
buttons or such. I also think that Delta Chat should remain easy to
grasp for non-technical users. Adding special syntax rules to messages
would probably go against that.

@Minim: Maybe check what happens if you add a new email-style group via
“(+) – New E-Mail” where you only add one existing contact. Would that
change the email subject? Would it start a new email thread? Would it
show up as a new “chat” in Delta Chat? I guess that adding an existing
contact again with a new subject might be a reasonable UI for starting a
new thread with a different subject. Regardless of whether one sticks to
the current UI (1:1 non-e2ee emails are simply “groups with N participants
for N=2”) or if one goes for the UI I propose.

To clarify: I do not want to gain the ability to set the subject. What
I want is a convenient way to add a new contact by specifying an email
address but without specifying the subject. This used to be possible in
a previous version of Delta Chat for Android, but the current UI makes
it a little more cumbersome. Also, sorry if the title I chose for this
thread might be a little misleading.
