I’m not sure about this. But: I have created a gmx account to play around and test newest DC releases. I realized that some “lost messages” can be found in the spam folder. If I use a mail account only for DC use, I never will log in to check the spam folder. What do you think about this problem?

Currently there a a few options which folders should be monitored. It would be nice to have an (advanced) option to add custom folders for when some mail rules already sort messages into folders.

Add a way to set user defined DC folder

I use a Alias adress for DC (dev version). So I would like to move all messeges sendet to this address into a special IMAP folder. And this folder should be handled as “inbox” for DC. If I understand it correctly DC (dev version) is ready for this. There is only a UI item needet to set this folder. I would like to see a way to set a special IMAP folder for DC in the near future. Thank you

Option to watch inbox but not its subfolders / or watch selected folders only

Use case I use extensive server-side filtering and personal e-mail always arrives into INBOX, but transactional e-mails and mailing lists are redirected to subfolders of INBOX. It would be great if DeltaChat could monitor INBOX for changes but not its subfolders.
