Switch authentication from plain to oauth2?

This is not an application bug but more a help request.

I have DC 1.8.1 (latest stable in G Play) with a G Suite account setup using plain authentication. I want to switch to oauth2 authentication (available in nightly).

I first installed the nightly 1.10.1, did a backup in stable and restore it in nightly. Everything worked like a charm. As expected, I have plain auth in nightlty.

What do you recommend for switching to oauth2 without losing my chats? It’s possible to deactivate/deregister an account and keep the messages?

going to settings in your profile’s config, you can get the same screen as the configuration screen at the start of the program, just enalbe OAuth2 and save
