A couple of questions on emojis

Is it possible or (there could be the possibility) to translate the emoji meanings appearing when emojis are hovered? Should it be implemented on the Delta Chat Transifex or through a previous layer, directly on the emojis library?

Which is the source of the emojis? Why are regional flags for some countries (such as Wales in UK), but not other (such as autonomous communities in Spain)?

There are existing databases, we, as the Delta Chat project, should not start maintaining another such database.

We use existing “emoji picker” libraries. On Desktop it’s a fork of emoji-mart. On Android it’s another library (IDK which).

I personally don’t think that we should be explicitly implementing this feature. At least on Desktop it should be up to Chromium.
