Expected behavior
It should be possible to forward or share a message, file, or any other content to a different relay. The user should be able to select another relay and send the same content there easily.
Actual behavior
Currently, content can only be sent to the relay that the user is already inside. There is no option to share or forward the content to other relays.
What do you mean by “user is already inside”? I sense a misunderstanding.
Send to whose other relay? The recipient’s or the sender’s?
You can in fact choose your sending relay in Relay settings, maybe that’s what you’re after.
Anyways, this area is pending some changes where the sending relay would be selected automatically.
Suppose I want to forward a file from Saved Messages in Relay A to Relay B. How would this be possible?
What would be the use case?
federation is not always active. this feature would be useful.
What does this mean?
Messages are currently sent from the selected relay to all relays of the recipients.
If you want to resent the message over another relay, you can select it as primary relay, then click on the message and select the “resent” option.
