Access control using PIN / biometrics

I am really enjoying Delta and the only thing that makes it not suitable as my main chat app is the lack of access control using Touch ID / Face ID / PIN. Different to the complexities involved with local encryption (already proposed in other topics), this feature should not be so costly to implement. Any plans to support this?

  • critical parts as “Add Second Device” or “Export Backup” of the mobile apps are always protected by the system Touch ID / Face ID / PIN

  • on iOS, the system can can protect the whole app since some months by the system Touch ID / Face ID / PIN: long tap the app icon on the system’s desktop and select eg. “Require Face ID”

  • on Android, many manufactors offer a similar option, if in doubt, you can use 3rd party apps for that
