ah, das ganze ist unter anbox? Würde eher mal https://github.com/deltachat/deltachat-desktop/releases/ probieren fuer desktop-usage. anbox ist nicht wirklich supported.
Nein, Anbox hatte ich im Vorfeld schon am laufen. Mein plan war nur aus der Anbox instanz vielleicht ein valides Backup rauszuquetschen und auf die Desktop-installation anzuwenden…
I thought maybe downgrading deltachat might have some effect: now I can’t install delta-chat via F-Droid anymore. “Failed to install due to an unknown error”
can’t install any version (0.18.2, 0.19, 0.20) now.

I guess you could try to directly install the apk frm https://f-droid.org/packages/com.b44t.messenger/ … maybe @r10s has a better/different idea.

if you want to keep the data and you don’t have a backup, you’re stuck with f-droid. the mentioned error comes from f-droid, not from delta chat i assume?
otherwise, if you have a backup or do not want to keep you exiting data, you can deinstall the app completely and use any source from https://delta.chat/en/download
Looks like this is related to my LinageOS installation entirely. Applications stop working and can’t be installed anymore (including F-Droid itself).

have a LineageOS and it’s working fine but that doesn’t help you … maybe you played a bit too much with it? i am not doing much with it except web-browsing and DeltaChat …
