I have someone reporting that none of my messages show up while that person’s new Android (I think running 15 – whatever is most recent in Google line). When the phone unlocks, all messages show up. Battery management is disabled, no data restriction, and Delta is exempted from Do Not Disturb notifications.
Not sure what else to do, as nothing shows up in notifications until the screen is unlocked – other apps work as expected
This persists – my messages notify the user when the person unlocks the phone, no sound or visual shows up until unlocked. Which means time-sensitive messages never show up as intentded. Using chatmail w/push for both accounts.
@io4w5 In my case this happened because I had specifically set (by mistake) the Delta chat notifications to “silent” instead to “by default” in the Android settings. Maybe you can check this ?

i did check those settings they came when pscreen active (with sound), but not when screen was off and locked. but that user gave up on Delta.
that sounds like an user setting nonetheless, it is not like Delta Chat does anything special there, it just launches the notification and if it has sound or not depending on screen state is then up to the system and user settings
i tried everything i could think of – best i could figure, if not a bug, was possibly some Gemini AI notification management. I spent probably an hour troubleshooting. since July user left Android (due to google overreach) for ios – other thread on replying to notification screen --and therefore linked devices-- complicated that, too.
