While the storage is limited in each relay, when I delete old media files, may I just select media files of a certain thread, export then delete attachments, but keep all the text messages?
Inside the chat thread, add the options “export all media files” and “delete all media files”.
Messages and attachments are stored on your client devices. If you use a single device, the content is immediately removed from your chatmail relay server, otherwise the chatmail relay server will clean them up automatically after a few weeks. If your quota becomes full, old messages on the relay will get deleted as new messages arrive, but hopefully at that point all messages have been downloaded by all of your clients.
In summary, it would not be helpful to export and delete media files within the client.
