Over the past few days, deltachat chatmail has been blocked in the Russian Federation, and a VPN is running on the same server and it works perfectly. Through a vpn, the application connects to the server, without a vpn there is not. I heard that moving the server outside the Russian Federation helped, but that’s not the point, but the VPN allows you to go to sites and use deltachat, and deltachat itself on the same server does not allow the application to connect to it. Changing the chatmail HTTPS connection? There are some thoughts on this matter. Jabber, Matrix on their servers are unlimited. Somehow, the name deltachat is somehow defined by censorship.
Sorry, I’m having a hard time understanding the message of your post.
Does not allow which application to connect to it? Is that a problem?
mmm, look, I have a vds server with chatmail running on it, and the delta chat application has not been connected to the server without vpn for several days. Now what I was trying to explain is that if I install vpn amnezia on this server, then I can connect to blocked sites. Accordingly, it turns out that the application is blocked by the provider, but I would like to know how this happens, and I’m not the only one who encountered this.
I didn’t look closely yet but My relay stopped working, how to fix? [timeout on IMAP connection after CAPABILITY] is related.
Yes, that’s right, that’s the one — I want to understand exactly what the provider is blocking and what the DeltaChat app is sending out that causes this block to happen. Through vpn on installed on the same server, everything connects)
Your screenshot implies a different issue:
I may not understand your topic starter or the title fully, but I think you are looking for the answer to why it is easier to block Delta Chat than other messengers. A workaround would be the following:
the release of version 2.52 solved this
