Calls stopped working and Telegram Connector channels stopped updating

Hello!

I have a strange problem with Delta Chat.

My setup:

  • Delta Chat 2.53.0
  • Android 16
  • LineageOS 23.2 with microG
  • OnePlus 9 (8/128)
  • Chatmail account
  • Proxy: nine.testrun.org

Problems started on Saturday.

  1. Delta Chat calls

Calls worked before.

Now:

  • If both phones are on the same Wi-Fi network, the call sometimes connects but there is no audio or video.
  • Over mobile data (MegaFon) calls never work.
  • Sometimes even on Wi-Fi the call only rings forever.
  • No error message is shown.

Both users use Chatmail accounts.

  1. Telegram Connector

Telegram Connector bot still responds to commands.

I can subscribe to channels successfully.

However, channels stop receiving new posts after some time.

Old subscribed channels froze on Saturday and never updated again.

New channels can be subscribed, but they also stop receiving updates.

  1. What I already tried
  • Different Wi-Fi networks
  • Mobile data
  • Different proxies
  • Reconnecting proxy
  • Re-subscribing channels

Nothing helped.

Could someone help identify the problem?

Proxy status is green and incoming/outgoing messages work normally. Only calls and Telegram Connector updates are affected.

Thank you.

Is the Telegram Connector bot working for any of your friends? Do group chats and other channels still work for you? There’s a chance that your government started blocking you and the given Telegram Connector bot instance. Related:

What exactly do you mean by “proxy”? Do you mean the SOCKS thing or Chatmail servers?
If you mean Chatmail, please check if regular messages work for you.
If you mean SOCKS / Shadowsocks then unfortunately as of writing the calls’ traffic does not go through the proxy, see Calls' traffic is not proxied · Issue #7309 · chatmail/core · GitHub. So if the Chatmail server is not directly accessible, calls will also not work.
