that’s very much a “work around” suggestion, from the user perspective.
sounds like a good opportunity for good ux practices of putting that into the app. remove the “verified group” and add some sort of checkbox “encrypted” to apply for any new chat, for instance.
unlike code, the ux welcomes redundancy as a rule of thumb!
