Can't send messages via my selfhosted Stalwart mail server

I tried to test DeltaChat with Stalwart. But I can’t send any (outgoing) messages. Instead I get an error message:

Failed to deliver message – Your message could not be delivered to the following recipients:

<xxxxxxxxx@nine.testrun.org> (host 'nine.testrun.org' rejected command 'RCPT TO:<xxxxxxxxx@nine.testrun.org> NOTIFY=DELAY,FAILURE' with code 555 (0.0.0) 'RCPT TO parameters not recognized or not implemented')

Is this a known problem with stalwart or am I doing something wrong?

There is an issue Rejects some valid SMTP RCPT TO parameters · Issue #645 · chatmail/relay · GitHub about this, but nobody looked into it yet.

Thank you very much. I see there is already a PR. Once it has “arrived”, I will be happy to test it again.

At least nine.testrun.org is updated with a fix now.
