Change warning message when deleting a chat?

When deleting a chat, a warning pops up that says “it will no longer be shown in the chat list. Its messages will remain on the server”

This sounds misleading and looks scary for some users as discovered with a group of testers. They think that even if Autodelete settings are set to “Delete at once after download”, messages from a deleted chat will still stay on the server.

It might be interesting to change the message. I see two options:

A) Simply add “depending on your server deletion settings” or something like that

B) The app should look at the server deletion settings and show a string depending on that

Any ideas on how to go about that?

A suggestion: changing the message to “Messages may be stored on the server if autodelete from server is not configured in your settings”

Another suggestion: Changing the text to “Do you want to delete this chat? Messages will be not deleted from server by this action” + add checkbox “Also remove messages from server”

meanwhile, messages and chats are deleted consistently, across devices and on the relays, as known from other messengers.

it is possible even to delete own messages from other user’s devices
