When looking for Chatmail support, is this Delta Chat forum the right place?
Is there any other?
I have some questions regarding the installation of a Chatmail server, I don’t know if opening a Github issue is appropriate for that kind of support.

The forum has answered such requests in the past. I haven’t answered the post you link out of sheer ignorance, but I’m actually a bit surprised no-one else has commented.
Yes, probably none of the people who saw the post knew the answer.
One thing you can try is @-mentioning people who might know the answer; for chatmail servers, this is e.g. @missytake (and probably @hpk and @link2xt).
The forum is probably the best place for asking questions, though I’m not involved with chatmail servers, so I don’t know for sure. But you don’t have to be afraid to open an issue on GitHub; everyone here is very nice and the worst thing that can happen is that the issue gets closed.
Sorry for the late answer. There is a chatmail mutual help chat group, where you can ask questions about setting up chatmail relays
