Codeberg No Longer Accepting Apps Coded With Assistance From LLM

Codeberg announcement:
https://blog.codeberg.org/protecting-our-floss-commons-from-llms.html

I will be removing my apps from Codeberg because they were heavily developed, modified, and reviewed with LLM assistance.

We need an alternative place to host and provide access to these apps.

GitHub is the alternative …

I guess submissions to the App Store will still be happening on Codeberg?

The submission system doesn’t violate the new rules, so I don’t think there is a reason to move it.

What’s the status here. Can listed webxdc apps be vibecoded?

will now include the following under the list of prohibited content:

  • original content written with or which facilitates the use of LLMs (large language models) or other generative AI technologies

Yes. Just host the apps themselves on GitHub (the current default app store, mini apps, only supports Codeberg and GitHub).

Not sure what this has to do with SourceHut.

I thought we were collecting forges where you can not host vibe apps?
