Convert a group to a verified group

is it possible to convert a group to a verified group once all members are verified?

There is no way to “upgrade” the group, but on Android you can clone the group and this will result in creation of a group with the same avatar, name and members, but with a green checkmark and guaranteed E2EE.

Maybe we should allow upgrading and it technically happens when you join a group with a QR code. When you scan a QR code a group is created as unverified, then it is upgraded to verified when you receive a message about being added. But in already established groups this is more complicated as you can never be sure that everyone will receive an upgrade, so at least currently it is required that a new group is created.

In DC-iOS it is also possible to clone groups.
