If Delta Chat begins adding these other transport options and chatmail becomes just one of the options, you’re basically on the way to building Reticulum from the ground up.
I wanted to nerd out with you all about what a roadmap might look like to moving towards this model.

Chatmail (IMAP) becomes just one of the transport options on reticulum alongside TCP/IP, Lora, Wifi, etc.
At the core, Reticulum is really quite simple. That’s a major benefit I think. It’s not fancy bloom filters or anything.
And the fact that Delta Chat would have started out with chatmail (something super reliable and functional) as a foundation transport is fantastic.
