Still an issue late 2025. Flathub Delta Chat release will sometime lag the current desktop version by a month or more.

I have reverted to manually updating AppImages.

not really, 2.22 is the current version and it is on flatpak/flathub:

may be sometimes delayed a few days or a week, but it’s not as bad as it was years ago.

We sometimes do “phased rollout” this way. First release on GitHub, then, if nobody complains, go on with other stores.

or sometimes there are really flatpak specific delays, but that has gotten rare, it’s not months of delay which we had sometimes a few years ago.
