Expected behavior
I would like to keep using Delta Chat as my main messaging system on older / limited phones, including KaiOS and Symbian devices, and stay in touch with friends who already use Delta Chat.
Actual behavior
I can find information about a Delta Chat client for KaiOS, but I cannot find any Delta Chat client or port for Symbian (specifically for a Nokia N95).
Most available information and discussions are in English, which makes it a bit difficult for me to understand all the possibilities.
Context / Description
Hello everyone,
I recently joined the Delta Chat forum and I’m still learning how everything works here.
I have bought two phones (both are still on the way):
- Nokia 8110 4G (KaiOS)
- Nokia N95 (Symbian)
From what I understand, there is a Delta Chat client for KaiOS, so that part should be covered. However, I haven’t used KaiOS before, and my phone will arrive in about a month, so I currently have no experience with how Delta Chat works on KaiOS or how the system is used in general.
On the other hand, I haven’t seen any Delta Chat client available for Symbian, and I would really like to know if there is any way to use Delta Chat on a Nokia N95.
If a native Delta Chat client for Symbian does not exist:
- Is there any workaround to use Delta Chat on Symbian?
- For example, could it be possible to use a very basic email client together with the same encryption/decryption system that Delta Chat uses, or something similar?
Additionally, I often see mentions of bots and games related to Delta Chat, but I don’t really know how they work or where to find them. Any explanation or examples would be very welcome.
Please note that I speak Spanish, not English, so I may miss some information when searching or reading documentation. Any guidance, links, or explanations (even simple ones) would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much for your time and help.
Steps to reproduce the problem
- Search for a Delta Chat client for Symbian.
- Find no official or community-supported client.
- Get unsure about possible alternatives or workarounds.
