DeltaChat 2.51 connects to the IMAP mail server, but it’s not receiving messages. Previously, there was a setting to move messages to the DeltaChat folder. Now it’s gone. Is this the cause?
For some reason, the log says the inbox folder is selected. How can I change it? What did you do again?

It is expected that Inbox is selected. If the messages arrive there, they should be downloaded.

it says that if one was using previously “Only fetch from Delta Chat folder”, so you configured your server to do some movement, this is migrated to “IMAP folder”. “IMAP folder” option is not available otherwise
the option “Only fetch from Delta Chat folder” is and was always advanced, and legacy for quite some time. today, Delta Chat supports to fetch from the INBOX, as standard.
but reading above, seems were not using “Only fetch from Delta Chat folder”, but “Move to Delta Chat folder” - see https://delta.chat/legacy-move for about handling that.
there are still some expert tweaks possible for special usecases, but this is not the target group of Delta Chat. supported is INBOX and a dedicated account - this can be chatmail or a classic mailbox
In version 2.49.1 I had the setting “Receive data only from the Delta Chat folder”, but when I switched to version 2.51 there was no IMAP folder setting!
Please show me a screenshot of where you set up the IMAP folder.

you can not set up the IMAP folder in the UI, nor configure it.
Delta Chat supports standard INBOX.
complex, advanced setups are not supported on purpose.
only if you were using advanced and legacy “Receive data only from the DeltaChat folder” in the past, the folder DeltaChat is used to not break existing installations [1]
what is your setup that you want to set another folder on the server? maybe there is an XY problem, and your issue can be solved otherwise.
one can probably tweak the database to set another folder, but that is not supported - and things are up to you then ↩︎
A regular mail server, like many other users, where regular mail arrives. And now it’s mixed in with DeltaChat messages. The server folder has always been there.
Now, this portion of users doesn’t care.
After update from DC 2.49 to 2.51 i no longer get chatmails on this devices.
I get them on PC and on a device with 2.49 only.
There is only an empty deltachat folder in my mailbox, no chatmails anywhere.
Preference to delete mails from server was 5 weeks and i also get no mails if the 2.49 device is offline.
This really gets annoying.
I had a lot of problems convincing some people to use DC.
Main argument was to use your existing mail.
Then encryption was enforced and groups not working any longer, new group had to be used.
Now they have all there emails in DC without an ability to deactivate it. If i add a new relay (which normal people knows what a relay is?), i again have a empty profile without existing chats and i can choose only one of them.
We have to start a new group, again, losing all history.
At least i cannot see how to use the existing group chat with a new account 
Every time something changes i fear they will go back to whatsapp or similar i dont use.
found out, if you click the link in the relay list and use the button in browser (how to scan a code on the same device…) you dont get a new relay, but it creates a new account
You need to copy the address and go manually back to new relay and paste it there. Maybe several times if you get an error like me.
I was forced to transfer my account to a second device a second time due to the new relay not appearing there by themself. No i have 2 accounts, one with, one without the new relay.
And i cant send messages because half of the group members mail providers block my choosen relay.
