I tested with latest Windows version (2.49.1) and the problem persists.
The reception of the message is correct in both clients (Windows 2.49.1, Android 2.49.0). The missing text only happens in the other sender’s device history.
I haven’t found a reference here, and since it’s a pretty convoluted bug that generates distrust in what the other party is receiving, I wrote about it before I forgot.
