How can I verify the AppImage?

I downloaded the Delta Chat AppImage. I could not find any checksum or PGP-signature or instructions on how to verify my download. How can this be done?

We currently don’t provide checksums, but that would be important.

$ sha256sum DeltaChat-1.20.2.AppImage
6d2056d88646ce9b0eb280737a3fbddaf4ae471be7917f27c5ac16ab962ac708  DeltaChat-1.20.2.AppImage

@Simon can we add to the release script that we upload a checksum.txt with all checksums of the uploaded files? Should be easy to do i think.
