Second, I installed Deta Chat Desktop on my laptop with Debian GNU/Linux 13 “Trixie”, and it works perfect. I had to specify that it was the second device and I installed perfectly in one minute. Ok.
But now, how can I have sincronized this new profile on my smartphone? because on the smartphone I only have one delta chat identity and I don’t have this orange marker of my project.
Adding an exisiting profile on your smartphone is rather easy: from the main screen you go to the top left where your profile image is, tap on it, and a small window will open.
Then you can choose “Add a new profile” (with the + sign) and on the next screen you choose the second option - at that point you need to start the “Add a second device” from the desktop.
There must be some thing you didn’t explain correctly, because I get an error.
First: I did what you explained: I clicked on the top left of my profile and then I clicked on “Add a new profile” (with the + sign). and then I click “Add a second device”.
Second: It opened a camera QR scanner on the smartphone… so, I must scan some QR, I guess Image —> unnamed hosted at ImgBB — ImgBB
Third: On the laptop, I clicked on the QR icon of my second profile of Delta Chat Desktop as you can see on the image —> 1 hosted at ImgBB — ImgBB
Fifth: I scanned the QR of the second account of my laptop with my smartphone, and It says I can’t use this QR to add a second device on the smarphone. Image —> unnamed hosted at ImgBB — ImgBB
