I find no “profile/account” settings under “Settings”.
I can’t find where I change the password.
I can’t send emails and get the error “Login as xy not possible” under System Messages.
I still get all emails from the server.

Go to “Advanced”, then “Relays”, then edit the relay setting to change the password.
Thank you, meanwhile I have found this. It’s very counterintuitive.
Still my messages don’t get through. The error message above was an old one. Where can I see current error messages?
– Is it not possible to send an email to the own email address?
You can send to yourself, that’s what “saved messages” is. But mail must be Keymail-compliantly encrypted. Otherwise the relays silently drop it.
only a side note:
it is kind of an xy-problem: there is no such thing as an “account on some server” in Delta Chat ![]()
everything is local, and you can use changeable relays to send/receive messages. this is very different from what classic email and many other messengers are doing - even if you use a classic email as an rely (what most ppl are not doing)
The “account on some server” exists and you only now call it a “relay”. When I started using delta chat email was the only purpose.
Messages to myself as a contact or to “saved messages” still are getting nowhere.
You can send messages from one profile to another for testing, regardless of what relays they use. Copy-pasting the contact URL from one profile’s QR-code page to the other will put them in contact. Sorry, I misunderstood you.
