When you click on images in a chat to view them in full, there are still numerous widgets and the hotbar above and below the actual image (see image). This is not particularly appealing visually and is annoying. For viewing images in chats, I would prefer behaviour similar to that found in WhatsApp and Signal. By Wigents/Hotbar, I mean the elements marked in red in the image (these interfere with viewing images).
Expected behavior
Widgets and the hotbar disappear when viewing images and videos (as in WhatsApp and Signal).
Actual behavior
Above and below the actual image, there are numerous widgets and the hotbar (see image).
