I seem it isn’t possible to handle Switch account on iOS.

to your question - yes, multi-account switching for iOS is definitely planned 
it is a bit hard to say when this will actually happen, as there are some many competing things sharing the same resources.

meanwhile, creating and switching “Profiles” is available on all platforms - including iOS:
by the way, we call the thing “Profile”, as it lives on your device only, it is a local thing which uses “relays” to transport messages. where “Account” is typically smth. remotely, on some server, where you log in
