iOS / sync among devices: no backup file to be transferred

Hi, I tried the synking precedure as described –

Die Backup-Datei wird auf Ihrem Gerät gespeichert. Nun übertragen Sie die Datei auf Ihr neues Gerät.

– both on my iPhone and on my iPad, But nothing happens after the backup is completed. There is no file to be transferred.
