iPad account switcher inaccessible unless rotating iPad

I’ve had a persistent bug for at least since upgrading to iOS 26

iPad frequently loses top left account switcher when going into a chat, and it only shows up again if rotating screen. Which means it’s totally inaccessible if one has orientation lock on.

This doesn’t seem to happen on iPhone, only iPadOS.

It does show up in the beta

there will be a larger ios-ui-update (“liquid glass”) soon, we cannot reproduce the issue there, so it might have been fixed.

(the update will be available as 2.53.1 (note the .1) or newer soon on testflight)

otherwise, please open an issue in the iOS repo or comment here again after testing with 2.53.1 or newer
