My understanding is that ideally I would not need to do this manually. However, my chat partner uses an email client without autocrypt and so sent me his key as an attachment. I would like to be able to import his key.
if you really want to, advanced user you can meanwhile import public PGP keys manually using the “.asc to vCard” app.
however, note, that an integrated UI will probably never come. this is and stays advanced and this is nothing we want to make the average user even think about
