It’s nice there is the option to copy the invite link to the clipboard but what happened to the option to save the QR code? I can’t find this option any more. I can still find the option to load the QR code as an image but I can’t see how I can save it.

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll have to check if I need to disable screen security for the workaround to work. Is the missing save option a known bug and going to be re-added in future?
it was removed on purpose as it was not supported on all platforms, and is also less reliable and handy than passing a link around.
offering two options also results in more confusion.
let alone maintenance and support costs 
if in doubt, doing a screenshot is easy enough (if ppl have disabled that, they will know how to enable)
Thanks for providing clarification on the issue. I didn’t realize that this feature was not supported on all platforms. I didn’t use this feature very often, but I think there are some specific cases when it makes more sense to save the QR code than to copy the link or when it is good to use the link and the QR code together.
The screenshot workaround is less convenient than saving the image and it adds more steps (disable screen security, remember to re-enable screen security after making the screenshot, and crop the screenshot in another app), but I guess it still works somehow and there are bigger things to worry about.
