Option to watch inbox but not its subfolders / or watch selected folders only

Use case

I use extensive server-side filtering and personal e-mail always arrives into INBOX, but transactional e-mails and mailing lists are redirected to subfolders of INBOX. It would be great if DeltaChat could monitor INBOX for changes but not its subfolders.

Expected behavior

The boolean option “Only monitor the DeltaChat folder” could be transformed to a multiple choice option “Folders to watch” with:

  • DeltaChat folder
  • Sent folder
  • Inbox folder only
  • Inbox subfolders
  • All folders

Actual behavior

There are limited options over which folders DeltaChat can watch.

Some mechanism to detect whether the messages are filtered as Spam by the relay [monitor whole inbox]

so, the above and the following is about what is happening under the hood, for advanced user only

for the record, Delta Chat is no longer about so called “Shared Usage”, so you must not use the same address for Delta Chat and for another email-client.

therefore, all options in that direction are legacy and are removed as no longer needed.

instead, you now use one or more so called “relays” to transport your message
