I think it would be very comfortable, more social and intuitive, if in the first installation.
Delta would scan the sent folder and automatically add some email addresses to the delta contacts, (at least the most recent ones) in this way the new users would already have something to do

scanning the inbox for contacts is planned, related features are:
- watching all folders and remove the watch folder setting
- downloading message history from IMAP
