Can the ratchet model be used as the means to render aged messages unreadable by anyone even thread participants?
Instead of relying on all parties to remove aged messages from threads.
i do not think, it can work this way.
ratchet etc. is more a transport thing, on the end devices, things are readable sooner or later - eg. you want to display things. “aged message” deletion is just an agreement, that only works if you trust the counterparts.
these points not only describe Delta Chat, other apps work the same.
I praise Delta for that nobody can delete messages from my conversations. Hate this.
