React / Reply to specific message

Expected behavior

Just like in Facebook Messenger, I want to be able to:

1. React to a post with an emoticon.
2. Reply to a post by referencing it in a special window.

Actual behavior

I can only add new messages, without being able to directly react/reply to an existing one.

Similar to the functionality in Facebook Messenger in spirit.
