Since DC-Desktop 2.35.0 it is no longer possible to show the password in the advanced settings. In my opinion, this makes the input field superfluous, since users do not have to enter a password when using chatmail relays and do not know it either. Therefore, it would make sense to remove it.
On the other hand, the eye icon could be reintroduced to display the password, as is possible in many other apps or websites.
The field exists to allow the user to change the password for non-chatmail mailboxes:
For chatmail relays no fields are needed, the settings activity could be removed completely. We just don’t distinguish between chatmail and non-chatmail relays currently.
