I think it would make sense to remove the “Introduced by” entry from the contact window. It doesn’t really serve any purpose, and most users are likely to find it confusing.
I think it could be useful, but it doesn’t seem to work how you would expect it to work.
Like my friend makes a group chat and adds one of his friends. He literally introduced his friend to me that way. But there is no “introduced by” field on this person’s contact at all. Why not?

Is it possible to enrich this field so that it becomes more useful?

When you’re both added to a group: “Introduced by Paul in Family Trip - August 2026”. Whoever adds the person (not whoever owns the group). Or whoever adds me to the group that other strangers are in. When I join a group chat link from someone, whoever sent me that link should be the introducer. Be sure to snapshot the group name in case it is deleted or changed later?
When a contact is sent to just you directly: “Introduced by Paul - August 2026”
When you scan a QR or tap a contact link: “Introduced by me - August 2026”
