Is there a way to implement showing a mirrored version/reflection of yourself while on a video call as commonly found in other messaging apps such as Signal?
In my experience, as of v2.49.0, video chatting with others has been smooth with only one exception:
Several family members and friends that I have video chatted with on Delta Chat pointed out when they see themselves while on video call, they see what they call an unflattering pov of themselves.
That is, their front facing camera pov isn’t mirrored like how one sees oneself in the mirror but rather the view of how someone else looks at the person. Whereas in apps like Signal, you do see a mirrored version of yourself while on video call.
I understand this may not be an issue for some and that’s perfectly fine. But for others it is. I was wondering if this feature can be added to a future release, either by default or opt-in in the settings.
