Softening the warning Gmail shows when using OAuth2

I’m refering to the right side screenshot shown in this recent post on the Delta Chat Blog:

On the screenshot it says
“…and permanently delete all your email from Gmail”

While that statement is technically true the way it’s formulated might scare some not so tech-savvy people away.

My proposal is that Delta Chat could somehow soften that statement in the prior screen.

That’s not something the app developers can control. The app needs this permission scope to work; so Google shows it. :woman_shrugging:

i think, the proposal was about explaining things in the screen shown before the google screen appears.

however, i think would also not care too much about it - Delta Chat needs the scope, so google shows the scope. also, i am not aware of people really aborting the process because of this sentence.
