Sync among multiple devices

Hello,
I am happy user of Delta chat and I am using it on 3 devices home PC, work PC, mobile. I would be happy if there is any chance to sync read/unread status of messages? Either via IMAP or Dropbox, for example. Also it would be great if I could mark a message as unread again… or some kind of Snooze… to get notification again after some time…

What do you think of that?

probably related feature proposal: Mark Chat as Unread

We plan to improve multi device usage in the future, so it’s good to have feature suggestions like this one to know better what the community wants/needs.

I’d love to see this one solved as well. Currently using the same non-chatmail account on DC, laptop and mobile, and thunderbird, laptop and mobile. Marking a message as read should mark it as read everywhere, I’m tired clicking again when I switch

Yes, that’s a good idea.
It would also be helpful if a deleted message/chat/contact would be deleted on every device with the same profile. The way it is now has the advantage that an accidentally deleted message/chat/contact is still on the other devices.
But it would also be a security feature if this was deleted everywhere. Let’s say someone deletes a secret message but doesn’t have time to do the same on all the other devices, that could be a problem for the user.
I realize that DC always tries to avoid optional functions in order to keep complexity as low as possible. In this case, it would perhaps make sense to let the user choose, as both options have their advantages and disadvantages.
