Tags and sub folders under "Saved Messages"

I think it would be very useful to be able to organize saved messages and give more structure to how they are saved. A single saved messages folder quickly collects disjointed messages from different chats with different topics, making it harder to find the information you are looking for efficiently in the saved messages folder and harder to understand the context of each saved message.

As @link2xt pointed out, it is possible to create group chats with only self and use them as folders, but these “folders” don’t let you keep the sender information and timestamp of the original messages, which limits their full potential and usefulness.

I previously suggested that that Delta Chat treats any chat which has only one member the same as the Saved Messages chat and keeps the sender information when messages are forwarded there:

Another possibility is to add a “New Saved Messages Folder” option below “New Group” when people select “New Chat”, and then only allow a single user for this type of chat, keep the sender information and timestamp whenever messages are forwarded to these saved messages “folders”, and use the bookmark avatar as the default avatar. And as a minor enhancement, if someone selects a message in a chat and long presses the bookmark icon, Delta Chat could open a list of all the saved messages folders so they can choose which one to save to (same as forwarding but with all “normal” chats already filtered out from the list).

This would be a simple and practical way to organize and structure saved messages by building on Delta Chat’s existing features and interface without the need for a more complex redesign of “Saved Messages”. People could then also give meaningful topic-specific names to the saved messages folders such as “Trip Planning Saved Messages” or “Working Group Saved Messages”.

In addition to helping organize and structure saved messages, this would also let people archive saved messages (in a backup file) and delete saved messages “folders” for chats/topics which are no longer relevant, and restore them from backup only when needed, which is not possible with only a single saved messages folder.
