I understand that the ability to edit and delete sent messages has only just appeared, but still in the future I would like to see the answers updated, for example, when deleting a quoted message, the quote remains. And when the quoted message is changed, the quote remains in its original form.

We have tested how it works in Signal, and the behavior there is exactly the same as in Delta Chat: quotes stay unmodified when the message is edited or deleted.
We currently don’t have a way to find all the quotes of the message without scanning the whole message database. If we introduce it for some other reason, e.g. if we want to do “lightweight threading” (a feature to see all quotes of a message), then we can reconsider this, but otherwise doing a database migration only to change quotes is adding too much complexity.

Probaby many people expect it to work like this? But I can see reasons for and against it.
