I currently use Delta Chat for Android version 2.11.0. When I scan an invite code, there is an audible beep. My phone has three volume sliders. As far as I understand, these are separate sliders for alarms, for system sounds (which includes the phone ringing and stuff like that) and for media playback. Apparently, the beep is produced as a media playback sound. This means that my phone will still beep when I scan a code even if I have “muted” it. I would like to propose that the beep produced by Delta Chat when a users scans an invite code be treated as a system sound instead so that my phone does not beep when it is muted.

Any thoughts or other news regarding this issue? I just experienced this “beeping even if phone is muted” behaviour again, and I found it rather irritating.
