I had to create a new (app) pwd for the smtp/imap access. Now i’m getting Connection refused (os error 61) and failed to prepare Mvbox connecting and IMAP rate limited
I have the same issue on the desktop. not anymore
Is this a Vivaldi thing or DC. Can I do anything about it?
Update: the desktop has issues keeping the connection alive

are you using the new app password in DC too?
It is also possible that the account is temporarily blocked if you have sent too many emails in a certain period of time. If DC is used intensively, especially in groups, many providers will interpret this as spam. Therefore, it is better to use a chatmail server.
Actually, I rarely send messages as I’m merely testing the service. I think the major benefit of DC is its ability to use almost any mail server, otherwise decentralization is just a phrase
and of course, I use the app password
I think it is a Vivaldi issue. I get time outs in simple mail client since leaving OAuth
and the right way to avoid this is to have more decentralization by having more chatmail (or deltachat-friendly) servers, not by using vivaldi, gmail, outlook, and the few big fishes that make the email network more centralized, just saying, it is good if vivaldi also works with delta
well, I do agree but only if there’s enough chatmail servers out there

I know and I’m using 2 of them. The major constraint with these is the restriction to e2e meassaging only.
