Way to setup proxy while adding second device

I wonder if there’s a way to setup connection via proxy on the device before adding it as a second. It is possible to setup proxy before creating a new account, but it seems this option is not present for “I already have an account” path. Are there any workarounds to do it on desktop or mobile deltachat client?

Proxy settings are stored inside the profile, so when you transfer a profile to a second device, it should already be transferred with proxy settings enabled.

Thank you. That could be not convenient if you need to use another proxy but in my case that’s ok.

You can add some definitely not working placeholder like socks5://127.0.0.1:1234 before transferring as a workaround, and configure new proxy afterwards. Or do it completely offline on a wi-fi hotspot without internet access.
