General-purpose user-edited flash card app. Ideally, the user should be able to save their cards and send them to others.
- By swapping the card sets, this could readily become an app for learning all sorts of things; musical symbols, musical note names, the periodic table, chemical names/molecular diagrams, capital cities/countries, arithmetic…

A morse code training app (how to design one is a somewhat-researched and extensively-debated topic; the Farnsworth and Koch methods are popular, as are solitaire and competitive learning; there are extended morse codes for diacritics, and encodings for Japanese characters etc.).

And if codes are too simple, try natural languages 
: programs for learning writing systems would be useful.
- Transliteration training (“write this in another script”)
- an app to teach hiragana and katakana, with Latin-alphabet transliteration, would be relatively easy. There are many such apps, many open-source.
- An app for Hangul would be a bit harder.
- An International Phonetic Alphabet app, linking the descriptive names (e.g. “voiced biblial plosive”) to each letter
- Hanzi-set transliteration training would be best Hanzi-bapomofo, not Hanzi-Latin (there are >10k Hanzi characters in most sets, so this is far more complex; the data could be loaded from Wiktionary).
Latin transliteration works very badly for some languages; for instance, Arabic and Hebrew would be worse than Greek and Cyrillic; sound & text transcription would work.
- Sound and text (both “type this sound” and “pronounce this aloud and then press the button to see if you are right”)
- For instance, German vowels might be simple (English vowels are written too irregularly)
- The International Phonetic Alphabet has open-license soundfiles available.
- There are many more writing systems, and the rarer ones may have no training apps. These often have recent writing systems in which sound and spelling are tightly linked, so autogenerating sounds is easier.
A Pomodoro or Flowtime timer that can be shared among chat members or just for yourself. What do you think?
Would the existing Timetracker app work?
The existing TimeTracker is much more complex and it doesn’t seem to support the typical time intervals of Pomodoro (25 minutes of work, 5 minutes breaks). TimeTracker is a structured tool for a more complex workflow.

An app to calculate the checksum of a file or text string… maybe something similar to @DavidSM100’s CryptoText app but display the checksum in the output field instead of the encrypted text. Useful for verifying that files and text snippets are downloaded or copied correctly!
The IT Tools App allows to do this, only from a string though, no file import support.
Thanks for the pointer. I overlooked this app maybe because of the generic name and it was described as tools for developers but it’s in fact more than that, a swiss army knife in fact. File import support would make it more flexible but for the text strings it is already very useful.
