What happened to adding contacts by email?
Before, you could use Mastodon via Delta... now I can't.

Sorry, I’m not sure I understand. What problems are you having trying to use Mastodon via Deltachat? How did it work before? Thanks!
That feature doesn’t work anymore or isn’t done the way it used to be.
Also, you should be able to add contacts directly by email address.
Now it asks for a QR code, which makes it more complicated for new users of Delta.
What do you do to try to use it with Mastodon? What do you see that tells you it doesn’t work?
The QR code gives you end-to-end encryption; I think you can still use it with unencrypted mail, just not with Chatmail addresses.
I think you mean MARL, a WebXDC app by s427. You might need to ask them.
