The forums have recently seen two offers of funding for developing specific features (iOS watch notifications, and mark messages as unread; also the an older offer on key interop).
Obviously there is a risk of funding skewing the direction of Deltachat’s development, and if the devs prefer to refuse all such tied funding unconditionally, that is a reasonable position. But could there be a statement somewhere taking a position?

UPDATE: after testing this, you get random people trying to claim the bounties using AI generated patches without really caring to test it properly and consuming my time having to review the AI code and find the errors so I am the one doing the work while they get the money
ArcaneChat is often a feature testing-bed, so that makes sense; pinging @io4w5, @user8525, and @fixcrypt, who expressed interest in sponsoring features.
glad there is some avenue for supporting – i mentioned not because of wishing to steer one way or another, but because I am possibly having to return to Signal or Element/Beeper or (gasp) imessage because Delta messages can’t be replied to via notifications menu, so comms dropped and replied to through other channels.
