Dear developers! Please add the following to the context menu for personal and group chat messages: highlighting a message with a specific color (you can choose from ~7 options) and pinning a message. Thanks!

Although I don’t think tagging by color was already proposed elsewhere. Similarly, some might find adding textual labels to pinned messages useful and to possibly search for such pinned messages based on the tags.
I’m pretty sure that’s not gonna happen. What next? Adding a background image to each message?

There are clickable searchable “hashtags” already.
Imagine how tagging and categorizing your URL bookmarks in a web browser. When you pin the message of somebody else, you can’t edit its body to include your own hashtags. Hence it is useful to be able to associate your own annotation to content of someone else.
